For those who are used to hot food, this is a #2-3 on a scale of 10, with #10 being the hottest. For those, NOT used to hot food, it is rated, on a scale from 1 to 10, at #6-7. This Coeur d'Olives™ Infused Habanero Extra Virgin Olive Oil retains its flavor during sauteing, as long as the pan does not exceed medium. It is excellent to saute or drizzle over steak, chicken, rice, beans, fish, anything, to add a “kick” to your meal. I use it to saute or drizzle over my tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. Use it for brownies and cookies with a "kick", or spice up Manhattan Clam Chowder.
